Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

This policy explains what information Vow Invites collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to vowinvites.com, our dashboard, and public invitation pages.

1. Who we are

Vow Invites (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides cinematic digital invitations for weddings and celebrations. We operate the website vowinvites.com and related services (together, the “Service”).

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@vowinvites.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Name, email address, and password (or Google sign-in details) when you create an account.
  • Event and invitation content. Details you add to an invite — couple or host names, dates, venues, stories, photos, videos, music, maps, and other media or text.
  • Guest and RSVP data. Information you or your guests submit, which may include guest name, phone number, email, RSVP status, guest count, dietary preference, and messages (including wishes-wall notes).
  • Payment information. We do not store full card or UPI credentials. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive limited records such as payment status, order ID, amount, currency, and billing region.
  • Usage and device data. Pages viewed, features used, approximate location from IP (used to show the right currency), browser type, and similar diagnostics. We use analytics tools for this.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and operate your account, dashboard, and invitation pages
  • Publish your invite, collect RSVPs, and show you guest responses
  • Process payments, allocate Pro slots, and send purchase receipts
  • Provide support, fix issues, and send service-related notices
  • Understand how the Service is used and improve performance, themes, and features
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents, and comply with law

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in (for example, a newsletter). Transactional messages about your account or purchase are not marketing.

4. Guest and RSVP data

If you are a host, you decide what guest information to collect. You are responsible for using that information only for your event, and for telling guests (on the invite or elsewhere) that their RSVP is processed through Vow Invites.

If you are a guest, we process your RSVP so the host can plan their celebration. We do not use guest contact details to market Vow Invites to you.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service — for example payment processors, hosting providers, media delivery, and analytics — and only as needed for that purpose.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Vow Invites or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will take reasonable steps to keep the information protected).

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in (authentication / session cookies)
  • Remember preferences such as payment region where applicable
  • Measure site usage through analytics tools

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, you may not be able to stay signed in or complete checkout.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account and event data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can reuse content, we can resolve disputes, and we can meet legal or tax requirements.

RSVP and guest data is kept with the related event. You may ask us to delete an event or your account; we will remove or anonymize personal data unless we must retain a limited record (for example, a payment receipt).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on consent
  • Raise a grievance about how we handle your data

You can update much of your account and event information from the dashboard. For access, deletion, or grievance requests, email support@vowinvites.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.

9. International processing

Our Service is used from India and other countries. Some providers store or process data on servers outside your country (for example, hosting or analytics). By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations with appropriate safeguards used by those providers.

10. Children’s privacy

Vow Invites is intended for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted on the website or by email if you have an account.
